Sheraton Buganvilias Client reviews
We just returned from our stay at the Buganvilias Club. It was a RCI trade I paid for and
went on a Guest Certificate. We tried to get an error fixed but they wanted another $500+ to
upgrade to a larger room so we decided to make do. We were put into tower D which has a
wonderful view of the local public beach UGH!!! People washing laundry, drinking, urinating
and sleeping under a patch of trees all day, not quite the view I wanted my kids to see all the
time. The unit was old and bug infested, we were so chewed up I was having to wear insect
repellent to sleep. The 2nd to last day of our stay we received a notice under the door that
they were spraying for bugs the next day. Maid service was ok, we had to ask to have our
room cleaned or at least just leave towels. To keep the rooms dry (due to humidity) the fans
need to be kept on, but when we called for 2 more blankets for the kids I was told they don't
provide more, The grounds were beautiful and all staff, other than front desk and concierge,
were great, very friendly and helpful. The convenience is the location to downtown but we
won't be back. Too many options to settle.
The Hotel service was kind and always on top of things,
the Rooms where clean and beyond expectation,
the hotel is full of amenities and forms of entertainment,
the location of the hotel is perfect, and that view of the ocean is unparalleled..
While some may enjoy spending their vacation never leaving the hotel resort grounds, I
prefer to go out and explore the town. That said, I was only in town for a weekend and I didn't
spend a lot of time at the hotel beyond sleeping and relaxing after dinner, but I did find this
Sheraton on par with other Sheraton hotels where I've stayed: well kept and clean rooms
(housekeeping came by twice a day), attentive and courteous staff, and great facilities.
What I particularly liked about it is its location. It's about a 20-minute walk to the boardwalk
and about a 5-10 minute walk to the edge of downtown. There's an ATM on the sidewalk in
front of the hotel (best exchange rate I found) and an OXXO (convenience store) across the
street. If you're into healthy food, there's also a 100% Natural Restaurant (franchise) across
the street--a great place to go for breakfast.
When I was looking for a hotel, I was trying to decide between the Sheraton and the Westin. I
went with the Sheraton because they offer free internet (in the room, lobby/bar, and pool
areas) and they're close to downtown. After my stay there, I wouldn't think twice about going
Just spent 5 nights in PV at this hotel. Plus side is the big beautiful pool and the pretty
facilities. However we love to walk down the beach and it was impossible. There are all rock
beaches in this area of PV north of downtown.. and the rocks go all the way into the water so
you can only swim comfortably with rubber shoes.
Also the food in the main nicer restaurant is excellent..they have a great chef. Fab coconut
shrimp in mango sauce... Understanding summer is rainy season but the ocean was murky
from rivers flowing heavey w/ rainfall. Zero visability.
