Marriot Client Reviews
This was a very pretty resort, pristine beach, nice tidy rooms with staff that were really
concerned that we had a nice stay. We did. The ocean view room had a very comfortable
bed and quite clean furniture. My only housekeeping comments are minor-- in the grander
scheme of hotel cleanliness, the hotel was really quite clean. The CasaMagna was over all
cleaner than some of the other Marriotts I have stayed at and the windows were
Room service was wonderful and had good quality food. The onsite restaurants were very
good--our favorite was Las Casitas with its open air dining and great view near the beach.
The stay was great, my only wish was that it were nearer old Puerto Vallarta. Would I stay
there again? YES. It is a lovely place to stay and get rested.
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and found it to be warm, inviting, easy to navigate,
and the restaurants were fantastic. The service was top notch and the staff was very
knowledgeable and extremely friendly. The spa was beautiful and the location on the
beach was fantastic. July is a tricky time to go because of rainy season, but one great day
of weather and you forget all that.
My wife and I stayed at the Casamagna for a week from June 8-15 for our 25th
anniversary and give it 9.5 out of 10. We stayed in a deluxe oceanview room, and they
were offering a special with complimentary breakfast buffet each morning for only $9 more
per night. That was the best deal ever. The breakfast buffet is unlike anything you've ever
seen before and costs about $45 for two people if not part of your room package.
Everything you could want. You can have a completely different breakfast every morning
for 7 days and still not try everything. The service and hotel grounds were exceptional.
There was some construction on the west side, but nothing annoying. Very quiet. The
poolside waiters were outstanding. The lobby bar is open and very relaxing. Huge
expansive spaces. We felt very safe and secure in the area, and it's nice to walk two
blocks to the Marina for shopping/restaurants/bars. Go to Victor's for dinner at the
Marina! The sports bar (Champions) at the Marriott was excellent. The Mexican Burgers
(Angus with guacamole, fresh salsa, etc.) and fries were amazing. A fun place to watch all
the sports. The room was clean and comfortable, not much bigger than a standard hotel
room, but had a nice balcony overlooking the beautiful courtyard, pool and ocean. Taxi
fare downtown to the boardwalk was only 60 pesos (about $5), and no tips are expected.
Take a taxi to/from the airport for only 50 pesos. We made the mistake of booking hotel
transportation for our arrival and paid $18 for the two of us. We took the taxi on
departure. Prepare to be assaulted by time share reps from the moment you get off the
plane until you leave. And stay away from the $3 chips in the mini bar.
